Our Senior Pastor

Pastor Rodney L. Carter, Sr.

Pastor Rodney Carter Sr. is a native of Washington, DC and is the first born son of Bishop Milton & Lady Codie Carter. He attended school in Prince Georges County and graduated from DuVal Senior High.  He furthered his education at the Maryland Drafting Institute.  Upon graduating from the Institute, he began a very successful career becoming a mechanical engineer and was employed by Comsat, Lockheed Martin and Orbital Science Corp.

Pastor Rodney attended Revival Temple Minister’s Institute and  Mt. Calvary Bible Institute, along with taking many other bible study courses. Under the tutelage of his father, an anointed  teacher of GOD’s Word, he was  taught and trained to handle the gospel with integrity and authority. In May of 2016, he received a Certificate in Ministry Leadership from Regent University.

Pastor Carter was saved as a young man and was always actively involved in the Ministry, serving in many capacities.  He was an ordained deacon, prior to being licensed and ordained to preach the gospel, by the Revival Temple Church.  He served his father faithfully, until his demise in 2011, as Chief Adjutant, displaying a spirit of loyalty and commitment.

In 2012, he was installed to share the pastorate of Revival Temple with his brother, Pastor Kennard Carter, in the office of Executive Pastor.

On August 3, 2014, Pastor Rodney transitioned into the role of Senior Pastor of Revival Temple Full Gospel Church, and was installated on December 21, 2014 by Achbishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr.

Pastor Rodney serves on the Pastoral Advisory Council for Capital Seminary and Graduate School, which is the Seminary of Lancaster Bible College.

Pastor Rodney and his lovely wife Minister Terry E. Carter are known for their Marriage Ministry, ministering, encouraging and equipping couples to strive for God-centered marriages. Married for over 33 years, they are the proud parents of two; Lady Monique K. Carter and Minister Rodney L. Carter, Jr.

Pastor Rodney is passionate about the calling on his life, to serve God's people and to live a life that is pleasing to Him; a heart to be a true example of His love.
