Our Senior Pastor

Overseer 

Rodney L. Carter, Sr.

Pastor Rodney Carter Sr. is a native of Washington, DC and is the first born son of Bishop Milton & Lady Codie Carter. He attended school in Prince Georges County and graduated from DuVal Senior High.  He furthered his education at the Maryland Drafting Institute.  Upon graduating from the Institute, he began a very successful career becoming a mechanical engineer and was employed by Comsat, Lockheed Martin and Orbital Science Corp.

 

Pastor Rodney attended Revival Temple Minister’s Institute and  Mt. Calvary Bible Institute, along with taking many other bible study courses. Under the tutelage of his father, an anointed  teacher of GOD’s Word, he was  taught and trained to handle the gospel with integrity and authority. In May of 2016, he received a Certificate in Ministry Leadership from Regent University. 

 

Pastor Carter was saved as a young man and was always actively involved in the Ministry, serving in many capacities.  He was an ordained deacon, prior to being licensed and ordained to preach the gospel, by the Revival Temple Church.  He served his father faithfully, until his demise in 2011, as Chief Adjutant, displaying a spirit of loyalty and commitment.

 

In 2012, he was installed to share the pastorate of Revival Temple with his brother, Pastor Kennard Carter, in the office of Executive Pastor.

 

On August 3, 2014, Pastor Rodney transitioned into the role of Senior Pastor of Revival Temple Church, and was installated on December 21, 2014 by Achbishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr.

 

Pastor Rodney serves on the Pastoral Advisory Council for Capital Seminary and Graduate School, which is the Seminary of Lancaster Bible College. 

 

Pastor Rodney and his lovely wife Minister Terry E. Carter are known for their Marriage Ministry, ministering, encouraging and equipping couples to strive for God-centered marriages. Married for over 33 years, they are the proud parents of two; Lady Monique K. Carter and Minister Rodney L. Carter, Jr.

 

Pastor Rodney is passionate about the calling on his life, to serve God's people and to live a life that is pleasing to Him; a heart to be a true example of His love.

Our First Lady

Rev. Terry E. Carter

Lady Terry is a born-again spirit-filled believer with a passion for the gift that God has entrusted to her. Her relationship with God and the time spent in His presence is evident as the anointing accompanies her. Lady Terry is a Washington, DC. native and graduate of the Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts. She is a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel, has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance, a Masters in Religious Fine Arts and has begun coursework in pursuit of a Doctorate in Religious Dance.  

 

She is currently serving as the Artistic Director of Dance, Health and Fitness teacher for SHABACH! Christian Academy, First Baptist Church of Glenarden.

  

Lady Terry’s cup truly runneth over, as she has been blessed to be able to share her gift of Liturgical Dance instruction with many other churches. She is commissioned by schools and churches to create and implement Christian-based performing arts programs in dance for children and adults. She is a mentor and model leader to many dancers and Liturgical Dance Ministries. Her work has received critical acclaim all over the United States, the Bahamas Region, British West Indies and London, England.

 

The Word of God challenges us to move from glory to glory and God is yet enlarging Lady Terry’s borders causing her to spread her wings soaring into new dimensions in ministry.

 

 

On October 3, 2017, Lady Terry was elected as the first African American female trustee at Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary and Graduate School, which is the second largest Bible College.  

 

Lady Terry is the devoted wife of the senior pastor of Revival Temple Church, Pastor Rodney L. Carter, Sr., and they have two children, Lady Monique and Rev. Rodney, Jr. Her first ministry is to her home; for it is in serving her family that she experiences her greatest joy.
